I can't believe that it's been almost a month since I last updated but I can't lie when the calender clearly shows the facts.

  On Wednesday Dec 20 Our Son and Daughter-in-law arrived to spend a jammed week with us!

  On Friday the 22 we all went to Mom and Dad's house for a family Christmas gathering.

  We know that is early but some of my brothers were heading to inlaws for christmas and so we met early.

Grandma got a gift for everyone there including a rawhide bone for Peppy and Kenny's little Roxey.

Mom said if many more grand children bring spouse or friends we will have to have our gathering at a bigger place.

 On Saturday evening our son wanted to open  one gift each . I ask him if it was because he wanted to play with what he had bought for me and he admitted that it was. Well I wanted to play with what I had gotten him as well. So we agreed to open one gift each. Imagine our supprise when I opened mine and he opened his.

How's that for look alikes?  The games I mean!!!!

We played monopoly a lot over the years and when Parker Brothers updated the game this summer I told the S W that I would like to play the new version but not necessarily own one, so we decided to give one to son and play it while they were here and see what it's like.

On this version you collect two million dollars when you pass go and you can buy Times Square and the Golden Gate Bridge and ball teams and a lot of other cool things.

  Sunday noon we had "In A Canoe" and family here for lunch and if you follow her site you will recognize this little one.

Dec 27 We took our Son and wife to the airport for  6:30 flight back to Ohio and then the S W and I hit the thrift stores and outlet stores in Birmingham and stocked up on christmas decorations for next year. Didn't get home till after dark and were pretty tired.

Well thats all for 2006 and maybe I won't wait so long to post for the first of 2007

  This year the families that home school in our church graced us with a very good christmas program. Usually "In A Canoe" would be there and take pictures and let all you in Xanga land get a glimpse of it. Since she was ill that night and there is no post coming from her I took it upon myself to attempt to give you all a peak.I did not have my camera with me that night so I ask the one person I saw taking pictures if she would mind sharing some of them in this way.
